Lexie Segrest named Associate Director of Young Adult Ministry

unnamedLexie Segrest has been named the new Associate Director of Young Adult Ministry, following in the faithful steps of Rachel Neubauer who has transitioned to work for St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Greenville, SC as the Assistant Director of Development.

A native of Georgia who calls Alabama home, Lexie recently moved from New York. She has served in multiple ministry capacities from leading youth and college retreat teams, speaking to youth groups, and serving as a Lector and Eucharistic minister. Serving the Church is at the core of Lexie’s life. She is an only child with a close extended family who can typically be found spending family time sitting on a porch or sharing a good meal surrounded by the family’s many rescued pets! Her free time is spent testing recipes (using her friends as willing guinea pigs), taking long walks (preferably near the water), painting, reading, and drinking copious amounts of coffee. A few of her favorite saints include, Angela of Merici, Francis of Assisi, Padre Pio, John Paul II, and Teresa of Calcutta, of which she strives to emulate the special devotion all saints have to Our Mother Mary. One of her favorite quotes is:

“Let the Church always be a place of mercy and hope where everyone is welcomed, loved, and forgiven.” -Pope Francis

Lexie will be making her rounds to meet members of each of the regional ministries! Until then, feel free to reach out using lsegrest@catholic-doc.org or 843.261.0445.
